I cried when I listened this unique song even though I was not knowing the lyrics.
it is something very touchy about this song..

"Dle Yaman" was one the thousands of ancient Armenian folksongs collected and preserved by Komitas Vardapet (1869-1935), a composer, musicologist and the founder of modern Armenian classic music. Komitas's life was spared through the intervention of a group of influential friends during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, but he lived to see everyone he loved to die in the Genocide. Komitas had never recovered from the emotional shock. He died in a psychiatric mental institute.

ഒരു വെസ്റ്റേണ്‍ ക്ലാസ്സിക്‌ സംഗീത കച്ചേരിയില്‍ വച്ച് പരിചയപെട്ട ക്രികൊര്‍ എന്ന അര്‍മേനിയന്‍ പാട്ടുകാരന്‍ ആണ് "ദുടുക്" എന്ന മാന്ത്രിക സുഷിര വദ്യോപകരണത്തെ പറ്റി പറഞ്ഞത് .കൈയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന " ദുടുക്" എടുത്തു ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി നാല് വരി വായിക്കാനും അദ്ദേഹം മറന്നില്ല..ആ സംഗീതം പല സിനിമകളുടെയും പശ്ചാത്തല സംഗീതമായി കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് എങ്കിലും ആരാണ് വായിച്ചിരുന്നത് എന്ന് അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു.. ക്രികൊര്‍, ആ ലോക പ്രശസ്തനായ അര്‍മേനിയന്‍ കലാകാരനെ (Djivan Gasparyan) പറ്റി പറഞ്ഞു..ക്രികൊര്‍ പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ"Duduk can get in to deep contemplation".
